THE fundamental problem that I have with institutional religions is when certain practitioners strictly and literally interpret the sacred text, coupled with their (often violent) insistence on their interpretation being the only interpretation of the sacred text.

This is the problem with Islamic fundamentalists, Christian fundamentalists, and anyone else that fits into my statement above.

To people who fit the category above, all I can do is beg: Just allow pluralism.
